2013402005 is a high-efficiency 2-Stage built-in cap-type oil-gas separator filter element specially designed for industrial rotary screw air compressors. As the core rear barrier of the air compressor air circuit system, it is dedicated to processing compressed air with a large airflow up to 750 CFM to ensure extremely high purity of air used in industrial production.
Core Functions and Working Principles
• 2-Stage Oil Mist Coalescence (2-Stage Separation):
◦ Stage 1: The mixed gas discharged from the compressor passes through mechanical collision for large particles and multi-layer glass fiber media, where most oil droplets coalesce and settle.
◦ Stage 2: Micron-scale ultra-fine fiber media precisely intercepts the remaining fine oil mist in the airflow to achieve deep purification.
• High-efficiency Lubricating Oil Recovery: The separated lubricating oil accumulates at the bottom of the filter element and is drawn back to the airend through the oil return line of the air compressor for recycling. This prevents lubricating oil waste and avoids failure of downstream treatment equipment (such as refrigerated dryers and filters) caused by oil contamination.
Outstanding Product Advantages
• Ultra-low residual oil content in air: The residual oil content of compressed air treated by this filter element can be strictly controlled at ≤ 3 - 5 ppm, which greatly improves the safety of end gas-consuming equipment and extends the service life of precision pneumatic components.
• Low pressure drop and high energy efficiency: The initial pressure drop is typically ≤ 0.2 bar (2.9 psi). This means the airflow encounters very little resistance, effectively reducing the power loss of the air compressor and helping enterprises achieve substantial electricity cost savings during long-term operation.
• Long service life and high pressure resistance: High-density frameworks and high-temperature-resistant, corrosion-resistant synthetic resin adhesives are adopted. The officially designed service life reaches up to 8,000 hours (or 1 year). It can maintain an intact physical structure without delamination or breakdown even under harsh working conditions of continuous high temperature and high pressure.
• Adaptable to standard large airflow: Custom-designed for heavy-duty two-stage compression screw air compressors with a rated displacement of 750 CFM. Its flange and housing dimensions deliver excellent sealing rigidity.
Installation Notes
Complete Pressure Relief: After shutdown, make sure the pressure inside the oil-gas separator tank and the entire system is fully released to zero before removing the cover plate. • Check the Scavenge Line (Critical): When removing the old filter element, inspect whether the scavenge line is blocked. During reinstallation, the bottom of the scavenge line must precisely touch the lowest central point at the bottom of the filter element (or maintain a 1–2 mm gap). If the scavenge line is too short and suspended, separated oil cannot be drawn back, resulting in severe oil carryover in exhaust air. • Static Grounding for Spark Elimination: Do not remove the conductive pins or grounding gaskets on the filter flange. The filter element tends to generate static electricity under the impact of high-speed airflow. Without effective grounding, fire or even explosion inside the oil-gas separator tank may easily occur. • Lubricate the Sealing Ring: When installing a new sealing gasket, apply a thin coat of clean air compressor oil on its surface to prevent the gasket from shifting or twisting while tightening the flange bolts.
Maintenance & Replacement
Basis for determining the replacement cycle Do not blindly wait until the 8,000-hour mark for replacement. Conduct dynamic assessment based on pressure drop (pressure difference between the inlet and outlet): • Normal operating pressure drop: When a new filter element is first put into service, the initial pressure drop is generally 0.15 - 0.25 bar (2.2 - 3.6 psi). • Mandatory replacement trigger: When the air compressor panel shows that the pressure drop across the oil-gas separator reaches 0.8 - 1.0 bar (12 - 14.5 psi), the filter element is severely clogged and must be replaced immediately. • Time limit: Even if the pressure drop has not reached the upper limit, the filter media will gradually degrade after long-term exposure to high-temperature oil and gas. A mandatory replacement is required after a maximum service period of 1 year.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I confirm compatibility without a third-party brand reference?
Provide the product number, dimensions, connection details, operating conditions and equipment information. Our team will confirm the application.
Which dimensions should I measure?
Measure the overall height, outer diameter, inner diameter and thread or connection size. A photo or drawing helps confirm the replacement.
How do I choose the correct seal material?
Seal selection depends on the filtration media, operating temperature and chemical compatibility. We can confirm suitable options for your application.
Can you provide a product data sheet?
Yes. Send the product number and required specifications and we will provide the available data sheet and selection support.
